The Design: Completed artwork for this medal was supplied by our customer, Monnaies Serge Huard. Our job was to interpret the design. To make the land mass stand out from the background and to distinguish it from the crest and lettering, we treated it as a solid raised area. The lines defining borders and rivers are "pushed into" that raised surface. The Medal: - Brass - 1 ½" diameter x .094" thick - Lightly darkened (oxidized) background - Highlighted raised areas
