The Design: Our customer provided sketches and a photograph of an old coin to illustrate the elements and character we were to capture on the new coin. The two-dimensional elements were sculpted and a flat pattern was cut for the lettering and edge detailing. To view the other side of this medal go to Numismatic Medal 31.
