The Design: The medal is made up of four components: 1. Minted 1 ½" medal 2. Ribbon suspender soldered to the medal 3. Grosgrain ribbon 1 ¼" wide 4. Bar, identifies the award The bear's paw print and texturing are pushed into the surface of the medal as a paw print on soft soil might appear. The Medal: - Copper - Medal, 1 ½" diameter x .094" thick - Bar, 1 ¼" wide x ¼" high - Lightly darkened (oxidized) background - Highlighted raised areas
